Nitty Gritty:
Here's the info you're looking for if you're trying to identify a particular release of this record.
This version comes in a textured gatefold sleeve, has blue Chrysalis centre labels
The original Island ILPS- matrix numbers appear on the labels, but not in the dead-wax.
Very similar to the UK Export version ([13763033] [r13763033]), except the label on both sides has the CHR 1044 catalogue number. (-E is missing).
The text “Manufactured in the UK, for export only” is also absent.
And slight differences in the Matrix/Runouts.
This version has the hand etching “A PORKY PRIME CUT” on the A-side run-out; a mastering credit used by George Peckham.
Recorded at Island Studios, London.
All songs published by Ian Anderson Music/Chrysalis Music.
